Note...
There is a serious Chihuahua epidemic in this country. Over bred and sold to young people who want to have what the pop divas on the fronts of magazines have. They are filling up shelters and rescues at alarming rates, they are no longer the tiny puppies to carry around and ooh and ahhh over, they are now adults, most are not spayed or neutered and producing an alarming amount of small unwanted dogs. They are dying in huge numbers, there simply are not enough homes for these little guys. They are not fashion accessories or quick money-making schemes any more— they are a rescue crisis. Please consider a small dog if you have the time and extra room in both your home and heart.

CORONA, Chihuahua, Male
Corona is an adult male CHIHUAHUA.
He came into this rescue with his wife, son and two daughters. he is a little shy, but warms up nicely. He's cute, has nice "uppy" ears, and is not a barker. He is about 6 lbs. perfect for someone who wants a dog but has size restrictions. Most small breed dogs are not appropriate for families with small children because of their size. He likes big people, tho. |

SANCHEZ, Chihuahua, Male
Hola! I am Sanchez, a one year old male CHIHIHUA, and I am a little shy.
I like people but I am not sure about strangers so young kids would not be a good idea. I would be great for an adult home.
It is a sad truth that male CHIHIHUAS in rescue have a difficult time finding homes, so I may be here a while..I sure hope not.
I am very cute, just look at my pretty eyes. Tres bien, no?
